Window Makeover repairs and restores windows from every major manufacturer sold in metro Atlanta, and from a good many that are no longer in business. Most of the homes we work in are between twenty and eighty years old, which means the window in front of us is often out of production, out of warranty, or both.
That is usually not a problem. A failed seal, a rotted sill, a broken balance or a sash that will not stay up are all repairable without replacing the unit, whoever made it. What changes from brand to brand is how the window comes apart, whether original parts are still available, and what we have to fabricate ourselves.
Brands we work on most
- Andersen window repair — Perma-Shield cladding, 200 and 400 Series, tilt-wash sash
- Pella window repair — ProLine, Architect Series, between-the-glass blinds
- Marvin window repair — clad-wood double-hung and casement, Integrity fiberglass
- Kolbe window repair — Heritage and Ultra series, discontinued hardware
- Sierra Pacific window repair — aluminum-clad wood in newer custom homes
If your brand is not listed
Call us anyway. We regularly work on Weather Shield, Hurd, Caradco, Eagle, Jeld-Wen and windows carrying no mark at all. On a house built before about 1950 there is usually no manufacturer to identify — the sash were made by a local mill, and those are among the easiest of all to restore, because everything about them was built to be taken apart.
Send a photo of the window and of any label on the sash edge or in the jamb track, and we will tell you what you are looking at and whether it is worth repairing.
