Wood window restoration across metro Atlanta.
Georgia humidity is hard on wood. Sticking sashes, soft sills and peeling glazing are usually repairs, not a reason for new windows. We restore them with custom parts made in our own mill, for as much as 70% less than replacement.

Wood window questions
Are wood windows worth restoring?
In most cases, yes. A window is a repair candidate when the frame and sash are structurally sound, even if the glazing, hardware or finish has failed. Restoration can save as much as 70% compared to replacement.
Why do wood windows rot so often in Atlanta?
Moisture. Continuous exposure to Georgia humidity and rain gets into the parts of a window that hold water, like the sill, the bottom rail of the sash and the lower ends of the frame.
Can rotted window wood be repaired?
Usually, yes. We remove the decayed wood, rebuild those sections with custom-milled parts that match your window, then prime and paint so the window is sealed again.
My sash won’t stay up. Do I need a new window?
Probably not. Sashes that stick, rattle or will not stay up are usually a cord, weight and pulley problem. We rebuild the sash, replace broken cords, re-hang the weights and re-glaze where the putty has gone.
What does the warranty cover?
Frame components and wood sash parts we make and install carry a 25-year warranty against rot and decay, and glass we supply carries a 10-year warranty against seal failure or breakage. See the full warranty.
